O'Day Fellowship

The Peter O'Day Fellowship in Biological Sciences at the University of Oregon supports undergraduate and graduate student pairs in conducting summer research within the biological sciences. This fellowship provides each student with a $5,000 award, offering a total of $10,000 for the pair to fund their research. The fellowship is named after retired UO Biology Professor Peter O'Day in recognition of his dedication to student engagement in research.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate at the University of Oregon.
- Must have completed BI 211 or 281 with a B or better.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- The research must be in the field of biological sciences.
- Both undergraduate and graduate students must be enrolled at the UO during the fall term following the summer research.
