Ruhr Fellowship Program
The Ruhr Fellowship Program provides North American students with the opportunity to experience life and study in Germany's Ruhr area. The program includes an intensive language course, cultural immersion, and a research internship at one of the universities or research institutions in the Ruhr region, including TU Dortmund University. The fellowship aims to foster international exchange, enhance academic and professional skills, and build lasting connections between participants and the Ruhr region's academic and industrial community.
Eight‑week summer fellowship (June 1–July 24, 2026) combining academic seminars and an internship at a company or research institute in Germany’s Ruhr area; open to undergraduates from selected U.S. partner universities, with a November 15, 2025 application deadline
Eligibility Requirements
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or Master's student at a North American university.
- Strong academic record in a relevant field of study.
- Demonstrated interest in gaining international experience and developing professional skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; prior knowledge of German is beneficial but not required
