The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) runs a large family of PhD and postdoctoral fellowships that let scientists from developing countries train at leading institutions across the Global South. The TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship specifically places scholars from developing countries (other than India) into laboratories of India's Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for PhD research.
Eligibility Requirements
- National of a developing country other than India
- Maximum age 35 by 31 December of the application year
- Hold a master's degree in a field of science and technology
- Regularly employed in the home country with a research assignment there
- No temporary or permanent residency visa for India or a developed country
- Preliminary acceptance letter from a CSIR institution
