The World Bank Group Youth Summit 2026, themed "#FutureWorks: Designing Jobs for the Digital Age", is the organization's largest annual youth event for ages 18-35 worldwide. Held hybrid on June 11-12, 2026, at headquarters in Washington, DC, and regionally, it focuses on education/skills, entrepreneurship, and agriculture, with cross-cutting themes of technology, financing, and fragile contexts. The Delegate Track engages participants in keynotes, panels with global leaders, Innovation Lab workshops co-creating solutions for real WBG projects (in-person), interactive Q&A, networking, and career development sessions on internships/programs at WBG/IMF/UN/etc. Selected in-person delegates receive fully funded trip, accommodation, meals (subject to need/visa), official certificate, and alumni network access (>10k from 170+ countries).

Complementing is the Pitch Competition for youth innovators/teams to pitch scalable solutions for job creation/development challenges. Finalists get coaching/feedback, present live at summit; winners receive IFC mentoring, potential travel for one rep. No formal internship offered, but program promotes pathways to WBG careers. Applications in English; highly competitive emphasizing impact/scalability.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Aged 18-35 throughout event (born on/after June 13, 1990 and on/before June 13, 2008)
  • Open to students, young professionals, entrepreneurs passionate about technology, development policy, youth employment, inclusive growth
  • For Pitch: nationals of World Bank Group member countries; individuals/teams up to 5; solutions showing innovation, impact potential, scalability; any project stage (idea to traction)
  • English proficiency; not current WBG staff/interns
  • In-person requires visa eligibility
