Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI)
The Ashinaga Africa Initiative provides full financial support for orphaned students from Sub-Saharan Africa to complete an undergraduate degree at a world-class university abroad. Support covers tuition, accommodation, travel and related fees, and includes leadership development through the Ashinaga "Kokorojuku" preparation and summer camp. Founded by the Japanese non-profit Ashinaga, the initiative aims to build a generation of leaders who return home to drive change across the continent. Eligible countries span nearly all of Sub-Saharan Africa (49 countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and others).
