The Wells Mountain Initiative (WMI) "Empowerment Through Education" scholarship funds undergraduate study for students from developing countries who study in their home country or another developing country, with the expectation that graduates return home to live, work, and give back.
Eligibility Requirements
- National of a developing country
- Aged 35 or younger as of 1 August of the award year
- Completed secondary school (or in the final year) with above-average to excellent grades
- Applying to, or enrolled in, a first undergraduate degree
- Will study in the home country or another developing country and plans to return home
- Prior volunteer experience and commitment to continued community service
