The Gilman Scholarship enables US undergraduates of limited financial means (Pell Grant recipients) to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs. Awards are up to $5,000 (with supplements for critical-language study or STEM research abroad), helping students who might otherwise be unable to participate in international education. It's one of the largest US study-abroad access programs.
