The Schlumberger Foundation's Faculty for the Future programme, launched in 2004, funds women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or postdoctoral research in STEM fields at leading universities worldwide.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Woman and citizen of a developing or emerging economy where women are underrepresented in STEM
  • Not holding dual citizenship with a developed country
  • Preparing for a PhD or postdoctoral research in a STEM discipline (Master's not funded)
  • Enrolled, admitted, or applied to a host university or research institute abroad
  • Excellent academic record and proven teaching experience
  • Commitment to return home to contribute to socio-economic development
