The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) at Brookhaven National Laboratory, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, provides undergraduate students and recent graduates in STEM fields with hands-on research experience. Participants work with leading scientists on projects aligned with DOE missions in areas such as nuclear physics, particle physics, collider-accelerator science, isotope research, and more, using state-of-the-art facilities at Brookhaven. Eligibility Requirements
- Full-time undergraduate student (or recent graduate within 2 years of bachelor's/associate's/BS/MS degree)
- Completed at least one semester as matriculated postsecondary student; freshmen need ≥6 credit hours in STEM and ≥12 total credits
- Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0
- U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) at time of application
- At least 18 years old
- Active health insurance for appointment duration
- REAL ID for site access
- Two letters of recommendation from STEM instructors/mentors
- Transcripts from current/recent and prior institutions (past 5 years), redacted PII
