The Honours College track Science, Society and Self (anchored in the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences) lets students explore how science, society and self can be consciously and strategically aligned to solve complex problems. Within the track, students may choose a research internship to learn about academic research in practice, assisting scientists with data collection, analysis, interviews, and literature reviews on their own research question, in fields such as Cultural Anthropology, Clinical Psychology, and International Relations.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Second- or third-year students admitted to the Honours College track Science, Society and Self (top 10% of cohort, average grade ~7.0+)
  • Contact personal coach to organize practicalities and find placement
  • Approval via signed internship contract before start
  • Open to interdisciplinary FSW bachelor students primarily
