The Meta AI Research Internship provides PhD students hands-on experience in advanced AI research through Meta's Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) and Superintelligence Labs teams. Interns tackle real-world challenges in generative AI, machine learning, computer vision, NLP, multimodal models, and more, developing novel algorithms, prototypes, and experiments that scale to billions of users. Programs last 12-24 weeks with flexible start dates year-round across offices like Menlo Park CA, New York NY, and Redmond WA. Interns receive mentorship, collaborate cross-functionally, contribute to top-tier publications (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR), and open-source releases, building skills for research careers. Eligibility Requirements
- Currently pursuing/obtaining PhD in Computer Vision, ML, AI, or related field
- Research/work experience in relevant domains (generative modeling, deep learning, etc.)
- Proficient in Python, C++, PyTorch/TensorFlow
- Ability to handle large-scale, high-dimensional data
- Work authorization in employment country
- Preferred: Publications at top conferences, open-source contributions, cross-functional experience
- Intent to return to degree program after internship
