The SPDC Internship Program (formally the Student Industrial Training and Internship Programme, SIWES) is designed to provide students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry. Interns are placed in various departments within SPDC, where they work alongside experienced professionals on real projects, gaining practical knowledge and skills that complement their academic studies. The program offers a unique opportunity to learn about the operations of one of the world's leading energy companies, with a focus on exploration, production, and environmental management. Eligible courses include Engineering, Geosciences, Information Technology, Sciences, Social Sciences/Arts, and Commercial.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a Nigerian citizen
- Have school authorization and approval for Industrial Training
- Demonstrated interest in the energy sector, particularly in oil and gas.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the internship program.
- Must meet any additional requirements as stipulated by the Shell Petroleum Development Company.
