Tisch Summer Fellows Program
The Tisch Summer Fellows Program at Tufts University provides students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful public service and civic engagement work during the summer. Managed by the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life, the program places students in fellowship positions with government agencies, non-profits, community organizations, and other entities that focus on making a positive impact on society. These fellowships are available in various locations, including Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., and international sites.
The Tisch Summer Fellows Program is designed to immerse students in the practical challenges and opportunities of public service, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge to real-world issues. Fellows gain hands-on experience, develop professional skills, and expand their networks while contributing to the common good. The program is highly competitive and seeks to attract students who are passionate about civic engagement, social justice, and community service.
In addition to the fellowship placement, the program offers various support mechanisms, including a stipend to cover living expenses, professional development workshops, and opportunities for reflection and mentorship. Fellows are encouraged to think critically about their roles as active citizens and to explore how they can continue to engage in public service throughout their careers.
