The Tsinghua Amgen Scholars Program is an 8-week intensive summer research program hosted by Tsinghua University's School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, funded by the Amgen Foundation. Outstanding undergraduate students engage in hands-on biomedical research projects in state-of-the-art labs under the mentorship of world-class faculty, with support from postdocs, technicians, or graduate students. Participants gain practical lab experience, attend seminars, lab meetings, group discussions, and presentation training, fostering scientific thinking and innovation.

The program selects approximately 10-12 scholars primarily from Asia, providing comprehensive funding including stipends, round-trip airfare to Beijing, on-campus housing, meal allowances, and tuition coverage. Additional features include participation in a regional symposium for global networking with other Amgen Scholars, campus lectures, and cultural excursions in Beijing to enhance cross-cultural understanding and professional development.
