George W. Jenkins Scholarship
The George W. Jenkins Scholarship is a prestigious award established by Publix Super Markets Charities to honor the legacy of Publix founder George W. Jenkins. This scholarship aims to support academically talented students who have demonstrated significant financial need and have overcome substantial adversity. It is offered at several institutions, each with specific eligibility criteria and benefits.
It provides full tuition, fees, on-campus room and board, and a stipend each semester for up to eight semesters. Also includes a computer at the start of the program and coverage of student health insurance if needed.
Application Process: Same as applying for the Robert W. Woodruff Scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements
- U.S. citizens who are residents of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, or Tennessee.
- Graduating from a high school within their home state.
- Demonstrated financial need.
- History of overcoming significant adversity.
