MO Ibrahim Foundation Scholarship
The Ibrahim Leadership Fellowships, established in 2011 by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, aim to identify and mentor the future generation of outstanding African leaders. Each year, three Fellows are selected to work for 12 months in the executive offices of host organizations such as the African Development Bank (Abidjan), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (Addis Ababa), or International Trade Centre (Geneva). Fellows receive a stipend of $100,000, gain technical and leadership skills through direct contributions to research and policy design, and benefit from mentorship by the heads of these organizations. Upon completion, Fellows join the Now Generation Network (NGN).
The program targets young professionals, mid-career individuals, and new executives from Africa, providing practical experience at senior levels to enhance their capacity for future contributions to governance and development in their countries. Host organizations may impose additional criteria.
