University of Nottingham Developing Solutions Scholarships
The Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship is the flagship master’s scholarship of the University of Nottingham, founded in 2001, targeted at students from Africa, India, and selected Commonwealth countries. It supports innovative and passionate international students who aim to contribute to the development of key economic, environmental, structural, social, or political areas in their home countries. The scholarship provides 50% or 100% coverage of full-time master's tuition fees for one-year programs (or the first year of two-year programs), deducted directly from the tuition fees charged to the student. Awards cannot be combined with other University scholarships; only the highest-value one applies.
Applicants must first secure an offer for a full-time master's (including MRes) course starting in September 2026 in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Science, or Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Nottingham UK. Applications are assessed based on the applicant's demonstrated vision and tangible plan for development solutions linked to their course of study, along with traditional criteria such as reasons for choosing Nottingham and academic achievements. Outcomes are notified by the end of May 2026.
