UCL Global Masters Scholarship

United KingdomMaster'sEntry ID: SC-91271

The UCL Global Master's Scholarship aims to enable and encourage international students from lower income backgrounds to pursue full-time Master's degree studies at UCL. There are up to 85 scholarships available for the 2026/27 academic year, with five ring-fenced for students from India and one for a student from Japan (part of the Musubi Global Master's Scholarship). Each award is valued at £15,000 and is tenable for one year only, or 50% per year if the programme is two years in length.

The scholarship is first applied towards the recipient's tuition fees, with any remaining amount paid directly to the student in three equal instalments throughout the academic year for maintenance costs. It may be held alongside other funding sources, subject to the total value of funds received. Recipients must notify the UCL Student Funding Office of any additional awards.

Awarded based on financial need upon recommendation by the Student Funding Office. Shortlisted candidates are contacted in mid-May to provide evidence of need, with successful applicants typically notified by late June. Distance learning programmes are ineligible; recipients must study in person at UCL in the UK.
