The Great Minds Scholars program is a WPI initiative that meets a student's full demonstrated financial need for tuition and fees (once all other merit- and need-based scholarships are assessed), plus an additional Great Minds Housing Allowance. It is open to Pell Grant-eligible high school seniors applying to WPI as first-year students, and is renewable for four years based on academic performance.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Pell-eligible high school senior applying as a first-year candidate.
- Must apply to WPI through the Common Application no later than Feb. 1, the regular decision deadline (Early Decision/Early Action rounds are also accepted).
- There is no separate application for the Great Minds Scholars Program.
- Must fill out the FAFSA and CSS PROFILE financial aid forms by Feb. 15.
- Enrollment: Must be an incoming first-year student enrolling full-time at WPI.
