Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart awards six- or nine-month residential fellowships to international artists, researchers, and cultural professionals from all disciplines, giving between 50 and 60 fellowships every two years. Fellows receive a monthly stipend of €1,300, a live/work studio, one-time travel reimbursement, possible project funding, and health-insurance coverage for non-EU residents. The program is aimed at people with two to ten years of independent practice after training, regardless of age. Admission runs in two stages: a short open application followed by a full application for shortlisted candidates.
