The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme is the largest African entrepreneurship initiative, supporting thousands of early-stage founders across all 54 African countries each year. The application portal opens 1 January and closes at midnight on 1 March each year; shortlisted applicants are notified of their participation around 22 March.
Eligibility Requirements
- African citizen or legal resident, at least 18 years old
- Living in Africa and planning to run the business in Africa
- Startup aged 0–3 years, or an aspiring business owner
- Not a previous beneficiary of any TEF programme
- Cannot have applied during any previous application window of the same year
